My media teacher asked what sites we use, and when I got to Tumblr he stopped, and asked why. Real reason? Because people talk about things I love that not many of my friends like, because people have similar belief systems to me (ya know, that wonderful babe that is gender equality!) and because…push comes to shove, Tumblr doesn’t judge. When you’re having a low day, or someone’s upset you, there’s always someone on Tumblr that really wants to help, or just listen and help you vent.

It’s difficult to tell people you see on a daily basis that sometimes you can’t see a way out, or that you’re falling apart at uni, or that life at home is so fucked up you can’t bear to be there…they look at you differently. So Tumblr helps, from time to time. And I don’t even rely on people seeing what I write, it just helps to get it down somewhere where I don’t have to look at it, not if I don’t want to. And if somebody wants to help, they can.

But I told my media teacher “It’s great for finding people that also love Benedict Cumberbatch. Cos, you know, no one else in this town has taste.”

This actually all happened a year ago, but it all seems so relevant now. So if you follow me/ you’ve ever wondered if I’m ok/ you’ve ever checked I’m ok….this is a big thank you. Thank you, for keeping me going, even without doing anything.
